This month’s edition of Professional Driver magazine has named the BMW 7 Series ’Car of the Year’ as well as ‘Chauffeur Car of the Year’. The prestigious industry titles were awarded by an invited panel of judges including: journalists covering the motor industry, chauffeurs and private hire operators. They considered a full range of criteria on a selection of high quality executive cars.
The BMW narrowly came out on top in what proved to be a very close contest. It was judged the best for having an exceptional level of comfort and luxury, while also being a pleasure to drive and competitively economical to run.
The competition for ‘Chauffeur Car of the Year ‘ was close and the BMW faced strong competition from the Audi 8 which came in second and was lauded for its, ‘comfort and good looks’. Last year’s ‘Professional Driver Car of the Year’ the Jaguar XJ came in third and scored highly on all the judge’s cards across a range of features.
